Water conditioners can remove low levels of ferrous iron, however, when ferric iron is present we do not recommend water conditioners. We recommend the ETF AIIF Iron filter. (see below)

Notes of interest: One of the most common mistakes made when correcting iron problems is not having your iron tested properly. Old rule of thumb methods are hit or miss. One should make sure that the sample is tested on the premises. If you send a sample to a lab, the lab will be able to give you an accurate level of iron but cannot differentiate iron type. Knowing the correct iron type is critical for treatment.
